Examples of Services Offerd by the Telecom Broker Network

T1 High Speed Internet:
An Internet T1 (sometimes spelled T-1) is a high speed telecommunication line that can carry 24 digitalized voice channels, or it can carry data at a rate of 1.544 megabits per second. T1 lines carry about roughly 30 times more data than a normal dial-up modem.

DIRECTV Satellite TV:
DIRECTV offers perhaps the best entertainment value in the United States today! Get the most HD channels and schedule recording of shows to be broadcast in the future with a FREE DVR.

DIRECTV provides sophisticated satellite TV technology that changes and advances extremely fast, so you do not want to be looking at the cost of replacing your system everytime something better is released to DIRECTV customers. It is cost prohibitive to keep up with the changes at your own expense so using DIRECTV equipment will ensure that you keep up with the latest technology at the lowest possible costs. Also by using DIRECTV equipment, you can be assured of upgrades and free replacement of receivers. For DIRECTV receivers, the fee is $4.99/month and is waived on the first receiver. For other equipment such as DVRs, HD receivers and HD DVRs, please call 866-728-8329 to take advantage of any available promotions.

Great for Sports Fans: If you are a big time sports fan, DIRECTV is the satellite TV entertainment company for you. DIRECTV is the only satellite TV company that provides inside coverage on NFL Sunday Ticket Exclusive. This service does cost more, but is definitely worth it. Dish Network does not offer this deal and does not provide the same variety of sports channels as DIRECTV.

VoIP:
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service that sets up telephone calls over the Internet that are often billed at a flat rate and leverage subscribers existing broadband Internet connection. This saves money in that only one connection is needed for both voice (phone) and data (Internet) service.

VoIP can provide big company telephone features on a small company budget. You are not merely trading one system for another: VoIP represents the next generation of telephony and messaging: Control calls anytime from anywhere, view incoming calls, view missed calls, view calls you have placed, view your voice messages like emails (find the voice message you want to listen to first – listen to it through your phone, remotely, or on any sound-enabled computer, forward it to another user or an email box), click to call people in your contact directory, enjoy four-digit dialing to all of your locations, etc.

ADT Home Security Systems:
With an ADT Monitored Home Security System, your home will be monitored at all times with window and door sensors that notify you if a door or window is opened. If a window or door is unexpectedly opened, a notification will be sent immediately to ADT security and to you and local authorities may be quickly dispatched to your home.

MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching):
MPLS is a standardized data switching technology that optimizes network traffic flow and eases management of data networks. MPLS carves specific paths data packets that are identified by a label that saves the time needed for a router to look up the address to the next node in order to forward the packet. MPLS works with the Internet Protocol (IP), Asynchronous Transport Mode (ATM), and frame relay network protocols. MPLS allows most packets to be forwarded at the layer 2 (switching) level rather than at the layer 3 (routing) level and makes it easy to manage quality of service (QoS).

Internet over Ethernet:
Ethernet access to the Internet is quickly becomming a popular service. Ethernet, which is usually thought of as the protocol used to connect computers and servers on a local area network (LAN), is now increasingly being used across metropolitan wide area networks (WANS) to connect corporate LANs to the Internet. The advantage of Ethernet Internet Access service is that connection speeds that range from 1 Megabit per Second (Mbps) to 1 Gigabit per Second (Gbps) can be accessed via the same protocol being used on corporate LANs.

The wide-spread use of Ethernet has reduced the cost of Ethernet switches and also the space required to deploy Ethernet networks either via twisted pair copper or fiber and virtually all computer manufacturers include an Ethernet card as a standard component on Personal Computer (PC) motherboards which eliminates having to install an Ethernet card as a peripheral device.

DSL (Digital Subscriber Line Service):
Digital Subscriber Line Service (DSL) has become a very popular Internet access service. This is because DSL uses the existing copper pairs that already exist between most customer premise offices and the local phone company central office (CO). A DSL connection is set up between a DSL modem at the customer premise and a DSL access multiplexer, or DSLAM, at the phone company central office. Both voice and data can be run across the same DSL connection by using a filter to separate voice traffic from Internet traffic.

DSL has become a widely-accepted and increasingly reliable method of delivering phone service and providing Internet access that saves end users money because both voice and data are delivered across the same plain old telephone serivce (POTS) line. However, the distance to the local phone company central office where the copper POTS line is connected from the customer premise to the DSLAM will determine the potential speed of the DSL connection.

Wireless Internet Service:
Satellite Wireless Internet is a new way to access the Internet at high speeds from anywhere in the United States. Satellite Wireless Internet is delivered via satellites that orbit the Earth while transmitting and receiving high frequency radio internet data to a small dish located at the customer premise. This two-way satellite radio system is reliable, easy to set up and is mobile. You can move the subscriber satellite dish and re-connect with ease.

HughesNet offers high-speed Satellite Wireless Internet service satellite internet (sometimes incorrectly spelled satelite internet) to subscribers who are in remote locations or unique locations where DSL or other types of Internet access is unavailable. All you need to connect to HughesNet is an unobstructed view of the southern sky. Please click on the banner below for more information.

The Art of Pricing a T1 Line

Written by: Patrick Oborn - Dec 2, 2008

While some people may enjoy a trip to the local shopping mall, shopping for telecommunication services like a T1 line has never been fun. If you happen to be looking for a dedicated voice line you may call the local phone company. Chances are you'll be passed around to three or four different people who can't handle your request for a T1 line. When you finally speak with someone who can answer your questions you'll go through a litany of questions that don't get to the point of your call which is, "How much do I have to pay".

A step up from a call to the local phone company is the use of a broker or agent. An independent agent can help reduce the number of phone calls by asking you the questions once and searching through multiple providers to get the service that is right for you. The agent helps steer clear of the bias you will receive when speaking with one vendor as the agent will be paid no matter which service you choose. If you happen to be searching for a dedicated voice T1, the agent will give you quotes for dedicated voice T1's for multiple service providers. Still, the agent has a shortcoming in that there is typically a delay between the time you have your conversation and the time you get your information. This can take a day or two.

Why not have the best of both worlds? An agent who carried no bias for one particular carrier AND immediate feedback! While this was not possible a few months ago, we have found a T1 line provider than can offer real-time quotes through its agents. A real time quote gives you information NOW. There is no waiting to find pricing. Simply enter your information and compare pricing immediately. Real time pricing will do for telecommunications shopping what Expedia and Travelocity did for travel. So why wait? If you're searching for a T1 line make sure you use a broker that can help you with your search in real time.
